**This is part one of two posts introducing the Davis family and the legendary Ugly Sim Kids.
This is Jack Davis. Founder of my legacy challenge and also father to the world famous “Ugly Sim Kids.”
Jack is your average, hard working single guy trying to succeed in his chosen field of journalism. Jack is also focused on finding the true love of his life soon after moving to the small town of Cascade valley.
One day, as fate would have it, Marisa Bendett walked by and Jack was love struck. Little did we know then that this union would create the DNA for the three ugly sim kids for which this blog was created.
Jack and Marisa were inseparable for many months while Jack worked hard at the Sim City Times climbing his way up the ladder of success.
The very day Jack was promoted to Obituary Writer for the Times he bought Marisa the most expensive diamond ring he could afford. You had to strain your eyes to see the diamond, but it was there. Marisa cherished all one quarter of the carat.
They had a private wedding ceremony soon thereafter and moved Marisa into the modest two bedroom house Jack had bought when he first moved to Cascade Valley. Unfortunately there was no honeymoon vacation since that expansion pack had not yet been released.
They spent their first harsh winter in Cascade Valley blissfully happy.
They were spontanious and fun loving, even going so far as to build a snowman in the middle of the night
When spring arrived and Jack had earned yet another promotion to the prestigious and ever important position of horoscope writer, his biological clock began to tick.
They had raised Otis their golden retriever since he was a puppy, but Jack and Marisa realized the time had come to start a family and share the abundance of love that they had for each other with a child of their own.
And so it began.
Jack was thrilled and couldn’t wait to meet his firstborn.
The day finally came for Marisa to bring forth this new life. The earth shook, the planets aligned, and the moon was in it’s fullest phase when Marisa and Jack introduced to the world to the first “Ugly Sim Kid” of the Davis Legacy.
Their joy was endless as they unknowingly imagined their baby boy Anthony as a handsome replica of his father Jack.
As time went on the rest of the world could see that something had gone awry in the womb, but Jack and Marisa were misguided by their love for Anthony and couldn’t see the flaws that were so obvious to the naked eye.

It wasn’t long before Jack and Marisa decided to bring another child into the world to complete their perfect family.
Suprisingly enough twins were born, a girl they named Erin and a boy they called Timothy. This was the culmination of Jack’s dreams of love and family. It’s a good thing Jack was an idealist rather than a realist.
Needless to say, Jack was an amazing father. During the day he would work tirelessly at the paper and then come home and take over for Marisa while she worked evenings as a professional party guest fulfilling her dream of reaching the top of the slacker career.

While Marisa partied professionally, Jack took great care of the kids which was tiring work.
Somedays he wouldn’t make it into the house before falling asleep.
Even otis tried to help.
Jack knew the importance of establishing a loving foundation for his children. He raised them to be smart, caring, and responsible.
He always went above and beyond to teach them all that he could.
And to recognize their accomplishments however small they were.
Little did he know how much his outstanding parenting skills would help his three attractively (is that a word?) challenged, yet confident children to function in a world that honors beauty more than substance.

I read it to my husband this mornin and we both enjoyed it. It was good to see a bit about the founder. (am I pulling you away from the rkc as well?) I am interested to see what kind of people the kids are and where life will take them and if they will everr get rid of their ugly genes

Oh! But Jack’s quite handsome… and Marissa Bendett’s no slouch in the looks department either. *scratches her head* I thought there was supposed to be some ugly kids around here….
The babies are always cute & Jack’s a great dad *claps* and, er… Anthony as a toddler, well – that could just be bad lighting. *nods and reads further*
OH! I see. Oh my indeed – I can’t believe those kids! Well, maybe they just need to grow into their fine features. Yeah, that’s it!
