Tim and Gwen settled in very nicely in their quaint home in Cascade Valley. They spent their first few months all consumed with each other, loving every minute of married life. They both decided that children would wait especially after seeing the chaos in Anthony and Monica’s house since the twins arrived.

Nope, for them it would be just the two of them, at least for a little while. In that time they would spend their time together and work hard at their jobs. Tim, being a family sim, had decided to be patient and wait until Gwen was ready to make that big step into motherhood.

Gwen had been in the ROTC in college and began her military career as a Junior Officer and was quickly promoted to Counter Intelligence. It was a stressful position so Tim knew that it definitely wasn’t time for kids even though he had always dreamed of being a dad.

So instead of a family they had each other and this was more than enough for Tim, for the time being. He knew that eventually the time would come and the longer they waited the more prepared they both would be. Gwen’s job was somewhat risky at the moment also, they never knew if and when she would receive her orders for deployment, a thought that Tim couldn’t bear to think of.
What energy he had left over from Gwen he put into his work. Out of college Tim had been hired as a summer camp music teacher. He was incredibly popular with the kids and so talented that he became a household name in Cascade Valley. People all over loved Tim’s personality and were in awe of his amazing talent, so when summer camp was over Tim was offered a job as a judge on a local televison show called “Battle of the Bands.” Of course he and Gwen were slightly put off by the outfit required, but like everything else he took it in stride. He loved his new job and loved getting to know all of the people of Cascade Valley and beyond.

With this lucrative new job Tim was able to pay off the new car which he adored. He and Gwen would drive around town and everyone would know it was him. Tim was becoming a local celebrity. Of course his big brother Anthony gave him alot of guff about his new idol status, but Tim didn’t mind. He was loving every minute of it.
To ease his ache for children, Tim went to the pound and adopted a dog named Dakota. Gwen wasn’t as excited as he was, but she knew that Tim needed someone to take care of. Tim spent hours teaching Dakota all of the commands and took great care of him. Gwen just knew that Tim would be the best father. When they would visit Anthony and Erin he would have a wonderful time playing with his nieces and nephew. Seeing his excellent paternal skills made Gwen think more on the subject of beginning a family.

As time went on Gwen was promoted to Flight Officer and their income soared. They were able to live comfortably and start a college savings account for their future children. Tim only wished they had the children first. He was becoming more and more impatient and everytime he saw his nieces and nephew the ache grew larger. He decided to bring the subject up again to Gwen.

He caught her in the kitchen and proposed his idea to her without faltering in the slightest. He knew that she would probably not agree but decided it was worth a shot. He began his rehearsed speech citing the pros and cons, emphasizing on the cons, and within a few seconds Gwen interupted his marathon dialogue.
“Tim, I know what this means to you and I have been thinking about it alot recently.”
“And what have you been thinking?” He asked hopefully.
“I think that we should start our family, right now.” She said with a smile, knowing this was the right moment they had been waiting for.
“Are you sure? Are you completely sure? Because I can wait for as long as you need to.” He asked, trying to give her a chance to change her mind.
“Nope, no more waiting. I am ready.” She said as they lovingly embraced.

Tim was completely happy. He would finally begin to fulfill his aspirations and work on his lifetime want of graduating three children from college. Tim’s family life had finally begun.

Cool, what a sweety Tim is. I am glad he is looking forward to being a dad and I am glad they waited until it was the right time for them both. I hope Gwen enjoys being a mum and I love the car by the way, although I am not too sure about their taste in sofas!

The sofa came with the house and they were financially challenged at the time. It has since been replaced.

Awww – Tim & Gwen are so cute – is Gwen’s LTW to make it to the top of Military career?
I hope the timing works out for them – waiting seems to have been a good idea for them. *nods*
Yes, the puppy does work as a distraction, but only temporarily, lol! I can’t wait to see their babies *fingers crossed for Gwen’s nose though*

Oh my gosh. His nose makes me cringe, especially in the last picture. Haha. But this is sooo cute.
